Lake Como

We had a pleasure sponsoring a few neighborhood holiday events this past weekend.  December 1st we hosted the Luminaries and Tree lighting for the Lake Como neighborhood.  Lake Como is a neighborhood just East of Downtown Orlando.  The heart of the neighborhood is Lake Como Park and the round lake in the center.  We provided luminary supplies to line the sidewalks of the park and the neighbors decorated a tree and launched it into the lake that morning.  It was a lovely night for getting into the holiday spirit.

Lawsona Fern-Creek

December 2nd we hosted luminaries for Lake Lawsona Fern Creek Historic Neighborhood Association.  Lawsona Fern-Creek is just blocks to Downtown Orlando and known for the historic homes and Dickson Azalea Park which runs beneath the Washington St. bridge.  The neighbors decorated the bridge the day before and launched a tree into Lake Lawsona.  We met at the bridge and lined Washington Street with luminaries to Brown Ave.  The neighbors gathered for the bridge lighting. Commissioner Sheehan was present to lead the neighborhood children singing Jingle Bells as she lit the bridge.  The luminary processional led everyone to the lake where they lit the tree and enjoyed some more holiday treats.

Thank you to both neighborhoods for allowing us to sponsor these events every year!  I love Christmas and enjoy bringing a little holiday cheer to each of these neighborhoods.  Here are a few photos from the weekend!
