I recently saw on a website a note that said “We believe in work/life balance so our offices will be closed this Monday”.  The office was closed for national holiday not just a random Monday, but I thought, “wow that must be nice”.  It must be nice to take a real day off, close up shop, and reflect on the day or just enjoy time away.

You see as a real estate agent for 13 years I have had very few vacations or “days off”.  I went from 2007-2014 without any vacation days except Christmas and those were still “working” Christmases.  I do not say that to brag at all.  It’s not healthy and it’s one of the reasons I started building a team. With a support system, you can live a better life, spend more time with family and friends, and still have a successful business.  I want that for others too.

In the real estate industry sometimes we are expected to be open 24 hours a day.  But the reality is that’s not possible – we are human beings and cannot be “on” 24/7.  If you’re a single agent, you are running around working long hours and bending your schedule to meet everyone else’s demands.

When my mom passed away in 2016, I realized that family and personal well being were more important than the time that I was giving them.  I became even more focused around the idea of building something larger that allowed for others to have successful careers in this industry without sacrificing a personal life.

Our vision for the ThinkLiveBe team is to be a group that truly works in unison with one another.  So much so that if one member is out of town on a vacation, everything still keeps moving along.  We are all trained to handle all customers and clients in the same manner and that way nothing misses a beat just because someone gets sick one day or wants a day to themselves.

The thing with that vision is you have to build a team large enough to have that kind of support, working from the ground up.  The first few team members probably have to work longer and harder to get that going.  In the long run we are building something bigger and better for ourselves and for others and that’s worth it.  Interested in being part of something bigger and better?  Contact us about future positions available.
